Peter Hampton teaches middle school general music in the Lakewood Public Schools. He also sings with the choir at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral and directs a children’s choir through the Beck Center in Lakewood. Peter has his bachelor’s degree in Music Education (vocal emphasis) from Otterbein College in Westerville, OH, where he studied voice with Robert Nims. His choral experience includes singing in the United States premier of the Lord of the Rings Symphony, with the Columbus Symphony, Howard Shore conducting; and tours with choral ensembles to Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and France (which included a performance in Notre Dame Cathedral). He has also performed with the West Shore Chorale.
